HODs behave like kings. In every department there is a nexus among the people who are working there for more than 12-15 years. They do not want to give exposure to the new joiner. If you are HOD favorite you will get a salary hike and promotion before the time. There is no role of the director HOD is the boss. if you resigned from the institute your colleague will treat you as a stranger. They will try to make HODs happy at any cost. The institute is best for CHAPLOOS type of people. There is more clerical work. No research environment at all.

Dislikes

No job guarantee, No opportunity for professional development, No Vision to achieve excellence, however salary is good. Now the salary is negotiable. Being a teacher, one has to forget his Principal and moral values. Management cares only for students. Earlier it used to b good for all.

It was the time when KIET was a best group of institutions but from last couple of years it has going into downward directions because of its worst policy and strategy. Job security is very poor don't know when you are terminate. Work culutre of this group is completely ruined. I will not advice the students as well as employees, you are losing your career. Kiet management is good but some fawning is spoil the environment.

Nothing seems very negative. Extra workload sometimes be given to develop skills of students in new areas apart from syllabus so that they get good placements.
