I am appointed as operator/meter reader in 1976 in my DEE education G Merit in salary Rs438/pm,served 19 yrs as Operator/MR then promoted as Junior Engr in March1995 then promoted as Asst Engr Ele and also worked as Ast Ex Engr incharge until my retirement,at the time my salary Rs 105000/- now my pension is 52000/pm.

due to Govt policy I am unable to get AEE post regular promotion in GM caste

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow, work pressure is very high. i have to work 24 hours in a day, i have attend all clients calls like O&M JE, AE and AEE, i learned some mechanical works, and i worked M U S S KPTCL sakaleshpur around 7 months

Job security is good, good working relationship. company gives good salary

There is poltics and Work is not appreciated, but good salary medical policy is very bad.there is no time limits,there will be untimely transfers.

Bureaucracy, No medical insurance, 0 skill development, conventional methods in both technical and non technical jobs. company is not responsible for anything and only the employee in charge is responsible for every aspect of the mistakes and accidents which just does not make sense.

It has been a knowledgeable experience doing training at KPTCL, it's beyond a doubt, Its is not the only industry in itself but also offers an internship to graduates as well as professionals

Dislikes

understand the safety threats that abound in the working environment and most important of using the proper PPE while using the maintenance, know how each piece of equipment works and what voltage clearance requirements.
