...ning, I did not serve the notice period and did not obtain an experience letter. The second job was with SSS, a reputable product company, offering a good job profile but with a package less competitive than what KPMG has offered. Throughout the KPMG selection process, I transparently communicated to the recruiter about my previous company, NNN, explaining that I left on less than favorable terms and lacked an experience letter. Initially the recruiter highlighted potential issues with Background Verification (BGV) if I were selected. In response, I expressed my hesitations and made it clear that I would not proceed under these circumstances. However, the recruiter later informed me that the management had granted approval and there would be no BGV concerns related to NNN. KPMG typically conducts BGV checks before the joining date, a standard practice. In my case, I insisted on resigning from SSS only after the BGV was successfully cleared to avoid surprises later on. However, the recruiter disagreed, claiming it would be too late to resign once the BGV was completed. Despite spending four months on the recruitment process, the recruiter urged me to resign from SSS without waiting for the BGV results. Regrettably, I agreed and resigned from SSS, trusting the recruiter's assurance that everything was in order. Since I was just one month into this company and was in enabler phase, my manager there released me in 1 week instead of official 1 month period. To my dismay, a month later, the recruiter informed me that BGV had failed, citing negative feedback from NNN as the reason. This revelation left me jobless, having believed in the recruiter's earlier assurance that the matter with NNN had been resolved. I share this review not only to express my disappointment but also a cautionary tale for fellow candidates considering opportunities at KPMG. My intent is to encourage individuals to exercise caution and seek written confirmation from the recruitment team before making any decisions, learning from the mistake I made. If you or someone you know is contemplating a role at KPMG, I strongly advise approaching the opportunity with caution and ensuring clarity in all communications with the recruitment team. Good culture in teams. Great learning. Some teams like international are better. They undertake complex work and have very good culture.

Dislikes

Salary parity is an issue when compared to competitors like Accenture. This is true for people undertaking relatively low complexity work in Accenture. Their salaries remain higher despite no appraisals given for a year. Salary is not determined at KPMG for people considering work they do, may be due to lack of understanding of HR regarding difference in work undertaken be each person. Poor salary also results in less skilled people getting hired requiring lot of counseling and guidance.

The salary can be great if you can negotiate before joining and bonus is pretty good for an average performance.

Dislikes

Everything about the culture is horrible. Forget everything you know about personal life while you're employed here. You will never get to see your family, won't get time to make a phone call, your friends will hate you for being unavailable all the time. Keep struggling for sleep throughout your tenure. Unreal expectations that is impossible to meet but helps the management in cutting down your promotions. Nobody is bothered if you're learning something new, you're just a resource who should know every process and should be open for any task any time and be 24x7 available.

If you just want to recieve on time salary and don't want to put too much effort into your work then this is the best firm to relax

Dislikes

It is a highly biased firm, if you are not in good books of senior management people, then no matter how good you perform it won't matter. Your growth rate is not proportional to your effort & skills if you don't know how to be in good books of some people

The salary of KPMG is quite higher than the other big 4.

Dislikes

1)There is no work life balance. 2)There is no Log off time we need to start the day before the login times and there is no log off time for the company. 3) there are so much politics they can remove you from the company at any time with nonsense reason 4) they will never promote you as per your quality then never see good on you but always see bad in you
