Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

This firm is the oldest in the city. It has wide range of different types of audit projects. Its a good firm to join for articleship as well as work as a paid up. People who work here get good amount of industry exposure and on site visiting opportunity. Management is good and they skill-up juniors before they are assigned to any audits.

Dislikes

There is no such thing that I didn't like working in the firm.
