The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. I love the fact that I am a part of a team that markets reliable, high-quality products and has a global client base. As a result, I get to travel abroad, especially to the US and Canada. But on-site travel is completely dependent on your project and client’s location. Mine is a US based client and they have some offices in Toronto, hence I got a B1 visa quickly. Another plus point is that my colleagues come from various cultural backgrounds, and we work happily in collaboration. I also like the employee re-hire policy here.

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. The work pressure is very high. Sometimes, I have to work 14-18 hours straight in a day as I have to attend client calls in the evening and sometimes late into the night. Managers do not value an individuals’ unique strengths, which is why I have to take back my suggestions most of the times. I do receive appreciation emails from my client, but they mostly go unnoticed during my mid-year appraisals. Also, there is no on-job training for freshers, hence senior folks like me have to guide them step-by-step, which is a pain sometimes.

Every thing about the company. Specially the senior manager...terrible person no communication skills, poor people management and full of politics. Even the CEO need some training on addressing his staff. Management should have their own idea rather than snatching from other competitors.

Currently I don't see anything to like here except for the fact that it is bootstrap company and will not be hampered by the recession in IT industry as it deals in overseas education consultancy.

This is for software development team in Hyderabad. Worst Work culture - worst that you can find in the IT industry. Having operations mind set, they are trying to operate a tech team which is not possible at all. Worst Behaviour - Worst behaviour that you can face in IT industry, not having sense on how to talk to a tech team, what are the abdicates or professionalism to follow. Worst Policies - Having worst policies ever, to take your own leaves you will have to fight and justify a lot. Work timings - Will be asked to strictly follow office timings but they will ask ask for weekend and late night support for releases or any other urgent requirements. Developers staying till 2 AM for releases which is not taken into account for any benefits and are expected to be in the office the very next day on time. Ironical WFH - Having WFH just for name sake. 4 days a month. Given for a fixed day in a week and employees cannot take it based on their need. People mostly from far away places find it very hard to go to hometown even for a week or two as they do not allow more than two consecutive WFHs even in urgent cases. Also one cannot take much leaves, as there is sandwich policy as well. Employees left with an option to go for unpaid leaves in worst case. No team bonding - Team size small of 18 members and in that management is trying to play divide and conquer rule. No common team occasions held. No initiative taken from management to bring in any team activities. Pay - This is the only thing that they provide as per experience and market standard to the new joiners to attract them to join else they do not have any other thing to provide to the employees. Developers feel like doing Labour jobs, no good process in place, all requirements are highest priorities here till dev and qa and nothing after that. Dev is given unnecessary pressure to complete tasks as early as possible as it is high priority and then those things remain in BR or FR for months. Recommended to join only in case of worst case where you might else remain unemployed.
