Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Working with NTPC Engineers is really a great honour. They guide us at each level. We are working as a team. Knowledge sharing, understanding of new and innovation ideas, logics, designs makes space to learn everything. We love to work with such guys.

As it is new plant (2017 COD). Work load is very high. Both maintenance and commissioning work have to be attending..
