I joined in year 2017 and I found KIT is good place to work.Yes every working place have its good and bad but for me there was only flaw is salary. I have learnt a lot when I joined the Dean was very supportive as I was new to the placement industry but he trained me and special thanks to Mr. Anil Kumar Agarwal Sir,though he is bit strict but there is no learning without strictness.After 2021 placement department was declining because decision making person is not having experience or mettle to execute the department though she is working from 2016 but I found herself good for nothing as whe she was handling the Skill Development Cell at that moment team was not happy from her,she used to change the team frequently. I feel if team is changing this much frequently then somewhere it should be a question on mettle of HOD as well,personally she is very gentle lady but not meant for HOD or Dean.

Salary is not appropriate as per inflation Transportation Policy should be minimize if you are raising salary as per need Promotions Policy should be equal and based on candidates mettle

The work life balance is good. However, too much intervention of management and poor compensation with extra work load makes the job poor.

Dislikes

...ulture in Deans and Directors is a negative point. There is a lot of harassment. Also, they ask you to promote their Facebook posts otherwise they will deduct your salary. Such type behaviour is not at all professional and acceptable.

"Productive, Relaxed and a Great Place to Work" When I joined the Kanpur Institute of Technology, Department of Applied Science and Humanities, I knew that I'm joining an excellent community and workplace. I have been working with this department for over six months. And let me tell you that the work culture and work environment is brilliant. The typical day starts with teaching and enhancing the knowledge of young students. That's the basic role of a professor which I adhere to. Here I have learned so much from the management and colleagues as well as every day is quite a learning experience. The hardest part of the job is to manage the teaching schedule as there are quite a lot of sections and student count is pretty high. So that's a task. But the most enjoyable part is the support that I get from the department, colleagues, management and administration which makes the job stress free.

Work life balance is great here. In my 3 years of experience I was never disturbed after working hours.

Dislikes

Regular and meaningful appraisal can help to maintain a positive working place. The organization needs to hire more admin staff for regular cleaning of the labs and classroom and other clerical work.
