Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Satisfaction working for underprivileged children.

Dislikes

Poor leadership, no vision, micromanagement, job insecurity, everything depends on fund raising, need to beg for money, no proper appraisal and incremental system, if you’re close to founders and director you would get whatever facilities you need. Unskilled manager doesn’t know how to manage education institute.
