New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

It's a great company, very good work culture, seniors are so humble & approachable, good work life balance, they treat you as a family member & take care of all needs of employees, having medical insurance which covers your father and mother is very great help by company for employees. ...gement is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

Top Management -Founder family is extremely caring and kind hearted. They are trying very hard to make this company a top cement company of the country... and the pace is good but good Corporate governance practices, professional working culture and processes for recruitments, appraisals still need to improved.

...discussed with Employee or not. Complete monopoly of Functional Heads /HODs.. who like to carry/recruit their own staff brought with them while joining and give them important positions, heavy pay packages and discreminate much valuable existing staff. Lack of Corporate Governance practices i.e. Internal Controls/ Checks /Audit adds no fear among FHs/HODs to conduct as they desire. No body to question them.
