It is a good International School which offers Cambridge curriculum. Open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. Supportive and cooperative team. Healthy work environment and good school culture.

The salary / benefits and school policy is not very attractive. Limited career growth.

Dislikes

Work life balance can go for a toss as the expectations at work are high which could adversely affect your health and home front. The school has a mega event lined up almost every month and in the middle of rehearsals, auditions, etc the teachers are expected to finish their portions on time, prepare practice worksheets, exam papers (getting approvals from respective HOD's for Semester papers) and children also give their exams in the midst of all this madness. Many a times children are participating for Inter School events in the middle of their exams and so on those days are expected to arrive in school earlier in the morning so they can give their exams and then be taken to the competition venue to represent JBCN which means teachers taking them need to report early to conduct the exam, hand over the paper to some reliable person in school and proceed with the children. A good place if you are unmarried and don't have too much to handle on the home front.

Very positive and progressive school. Friendly staff. Not much politics. No status barrier between coordinators and teachers.

Dislikes

80% childminding 20% teaching. Very low pay. Terrible and inefficient processes for exams. Too many tests.

Likes

The management of this school stood with us during the most trying times. Even during the pandemic when employees experienced pay-cuts and were being released, JBCN cared. They did not deduct our salaries and supported the teaching staff by providing all the necessary help needed to smoothly venture into online teaching. The school has a healthy work environment and genuinely takes efforts to make the who working experience for their staff worth their while.

Dislikes

I just wish there were more subject specific PDs conducted to help us further update our concepts.
