In case a new recruit does not comply to the employment norms but has a recommendation from a senior management personnel, the company flouts the HR policies and onboards people and later the organisation suffers. There are instances of 70% to 120% increment in compensation packages of a few employees where as at the same juncture organisation has limited its compensation revision during yearly increments and such employees with fantabulous increments have deserted the organisation. HR is not an independent function and is unable to take any decisions based on policies. HR decisions are controlled by functional heads.
