No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

...o employees do not have any kind of bonding or loyalty towards the organisation. Major employee welfare policies have been withdrawn, Medical insurance has been reduced, on job death compensations reduced significantly, survivers of deceased employees are not provided with jobs even if there is a suitable opportunity. In case a new recruit does not comply to the employment norms but has a recommendation from a senior management personnel, the company flouts the HR policies and onboards people and later the organisation suffers. There are instances of 70% to 120% increment in compensation packages of a few employees where as at the same juncture organisation has limited its compensation revision during yearly increments and such employees with fantabulous increments have deserted the organisation. HR is not an independent function and is unable to take any decisions based on policies. HR decisions are controlled by functional heads.

Post becoming a bank it still has Saturday working. Emoloyees are forced to work on public holidays. 1st 3rd 5th Saturdays are full banking days, but this organisation officially works half days on all Saturdays. Odd official working hours leads to 10 to 11 hrs of office work on all working days.

...om jobs they wouldn't provide fbf settlement and it's was a third party payroll. Work culture is very worst and salary and incentives also very low. This is one of the worst company that I worked.

Senior Employees, Collegues, Office Security Along With Area Heads And Branch Managers Were Working From 8 Years, 5 Years 3 Years And They Are United Well And Got Good Understanding With Each Others. Because Of This They Wantedly Spoil new Employees by strategies and try to dominate by their tricks in all aspects and make them to obsocnd from the job. These Things where seen by Branch managers but they support evil people's. HR Manager won't respond at all. The management is very worst and especially in bangalore there are lot of tamilians who are United in Jana Small Finance Bank and they support only tamilians inside but strategically they got good understanding to dominate other's and maintain as though they love everyone. Only Time should punish these people's soon.

Company is very good in following compliance. Company is aggressive in cost cutting. Very competitive

Dislikes

Big difference in salary structure for same profile and position. Hire and fire on requirement bases. Very short term strategies most of the time cost effectiveness is main motive. Most of the drive are centralized, so not much for you to change whether good or bad
