There is a lot of politics and the management doesn’t address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow.

At JCAPCPL you can have visibility straight away if you perform well. You have freedom to make and take calculated decisions.

Dislikes

HR policies more importantly systems are still very old and one may feel stuck if they need HR help in some regards.

I've learnt a lot in this company. It's a good company to lean for entry and mid level employees.

Dislikes

Appraisal process for females is not fair. I worked in this company for nearly 8 years, and always my manager kept mentioning that there are not many positions available for uplifting you. On the contrary my senior was given promotion every alternate yr even though he did the same work with no innovation. The company looks forward to having male employees at Agm Levels. One more problem is Management is assigned by Tata Steel and they are all on Tata Steel roll. Hence they are not concerned about JCAPCPL members and their pay packages.

No bus facility to town. No accomodation even being a part of TATA steel. No facility of TATA steel. Hierarchy is very complex. 4 and 9 years experience may get same position. Promotion too late min 5-7years. No food if u unable to book meal prior one day even during overtime. No medical facility like TATA steel in TMH.

The company is part of TATA but there is no facility of TATA. Vehicle, travel, canteen services are not good. Workplace is good.

Dislikes

Possibility of moving to TATA Steel from this company is impossible. Neither accommodation nor bus from city are available. Very hectic.
