...gement is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike every year.

Dislikes

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn’t address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow. On the job training is given to new joinees.

Likes

Very good working environment with cooperative teammates, Higher officials are very much supportive and reachable, pay and perks are as per 7th cpc as this is an institute of National importance under the MOSPI, Govt of India. An unique medical facility is given here that should be mentioned.

There is not much work load, 5 days week, flexible timings and you get to interact with a lot of great academicians from around the globe.

Dislikes

This is a government organization. It has two categories of employees, first is the Permanent Category and the other one is the Contractual Category. The Permanent Category regards the Temporary Category as the actual working category and all work load is passed onto them. The Permanent category gets paid more than their work while the Temporary category is very low paid. This is the biggest disadvantage at present at Indian Statistical Institute. The pro or con part of this disparity depends on which category you are joining the Institute.

I am currently working from home due to this pandemic. My experience is great over here. My supervisor is very good and help me with his every possible ways. I hope I can apply skills and knowledge gathered here in my future avenues.

Dislikes

I am doing an unpaid job here to have a recognized research paper under a renowned person. Though I wished to get some amount to bare my travel expenses.

Learning opportunity is here,work culture is quite peaceful everyone is here very hardworking , a very good research team is working so the result a numbers of good paper we publish throughout the year
