...ork culture is not much stressed and employees can have a very comfortable life. The pay offered here is good and decent.

The pay discrimination. Since its a PSU, one of the biggest disadvantages is that you are not paid according to your Qualification and contribution rather it is much based on how long have you been in the company. The organization has been filled with enough examples where an IITian, CAs, MBA professionals who are much important to organization because of their skills are being paid less than an old age employees who might be just doing basic work like passing of medical invoices, being PAs to senior management, employee reimbursement review etc. They work does not contribute either to the growth or profitability of the organization however there CTC 3-4 times higher than that of Qualified personnel working in the same company. Further, very limited personnel from the top management are actually concerned about the health of the organization but mostly are just there to complete their tenure which makes the organization extremely slow and difficult for young professionals to work with full efficiency.

...d chance to improved my skills and to study more about the advanced instruments. Salary scale is not for save. I get to travel especially other states such as Delhi. Our project to maintain and to install new advanced calibration equipment premji plant in iocl panipat and other plus points. How to improve my work efficiency and also get agood calibration engineer minds and as well as to keep safety for doing work

Its a sub contract work. work will be completed successfully. And return back. I completed my job faithful. And I thanks to god

...either they allow to chose ur field of interest. No consideration to ur choices. Salary becomes static after a time. And now even job security is at risk. Its better u work hard in private sector and earn double than us.

...new joiners and putting blames on them to set files and removes their own cases. The perks are good, but a good candidate can get better salary in any MNC than at a PSU. Job satisfaction is also low, as instead of your qualification, the politics behind transfers is the main reason for assigning job profiles. Sometimes a management candidate is forced to do technical jobs, and technical candidate is sent for management positions.

Corruption, cartel of senior officers, abusement at work , no security at work places

IOCL is very open to innovation and always eager for implement latest technology. Any one who wants to learn, will have ample of scope through the carrier path. It has given me the opportunity to travel Dubai, Singapore, Canada, Sanghai and US for training and as well as working as an expert.

Dislikes

Compensation is good, promotion scope is limited at senior level.
