Performance appraisal system in spite of being open, with a three tier architecture has lot of subjectivity at the third level where it gets downgraded. Favouritism and nepotism creeps in. Unionised workmen are pampered and management does not address indiscipline as they should. This leads to a situation where the supervising officer is at their mercy and leads to a very frustrating work environment in the field units. An officer needs to be very strong mentally, and should have an never say die attitude to keep this group under control. The Industrial Relations department of the company does not play its role properly in curbing the unethical practices indulged into by this group of unionised workmen. They buy peace most of the time, thereby the outside world perceives that the company does not have any Industrial unrest

Everything other than salaries are worst as per my experience. Work culture is terrible with bad office politics, behavior of boss is pathetic treating young joiner worst than the servants putting up a huge pressure all the time , insulting and scolding almost everyday in the office in front of stuff and workers giving threats of taking disciplinary actions even though I could hardly remember any day I got back from office working after 8 hours. Overall everyday they have created an atmosphere of terror in the office. I feel like exploited in the office politics everyday. I had to work 101to 12 hours from Monday to Saturday or in some week got called in Sunday also.HR are very deceptive all the time speaking in a tone that they will stand by you but at the end they will stab you from behind. Very bad experience.

Training opportunity is not proper because some people who are not required in urgent & hard works are nominated many times for training . There is no proper evaluation system in promotion with respect to performance & people who just please to top management get advantage .
