It is a very cheap organization which treats their employees like dogs at its gates. iitm does not allow employees to bring own vehicles into a 600 acres campus. We are overly charged for vehicle passes which is a pain to apply and get. Very slow and unfriendly staffs all over.

As a working mom, balancing between work and family is more important and this company provides huge importance to work-life balance. Safe environment for women. Gender equality and role equality.

Its a peaceful environment to work in, where as a staff we get to know various how to carry out various research works. Also, allowing us to suggest some technical ideas for both technical and non technical things, and also to attend few technical classes during working hours.

Dislikes

Sometimes the work done by a staff gets stealed by someone else. His/her work and effort goes unnoticed as the boss is busy with number of research works and others. Thus, one works and some other gets the name and opportunity for better jobs or studies.

Particularly I worked in NCCRD, a research center for combustion. The administration is very poor, unplanned, unethical, unprofessional, employee un-friendly, favoritism, biasing, rules are modified at managers own convenience.

Likes

The biggest advantage is in having access to on-line services like science-direct, medline, scifinder and many many journals. Exposure to industry related research and project & product transfer (technology transfer) with the added advantage of patent application.

Dislikes

Jobs are only contractual and the option of a permanent residence being slim.
