...l around by fighter pilots only busy in lobbying and politics against engineers. Respect and salary is not comparable to the work loads and responsibilities that too when compared with the peers of flying/ admin branches. Overall much PAIN and no GAIN for engineers.

It's good for ppl with Average IQ.....and mediocre ambitions in life ...not a place for engineers .. job security and medical coverage for your family and parents is amazing.

Dislikes

1. Very Limited growth options for non flying branches 2. Pay bands are limited but perks are good 3. Huge Disparity between flying and non-flyingr branches 4. Organizational setup is such that Average IQ people do good and high Average and above average soon become disgruntled 5. Only Flying branch ppl are given command positions and irony is these average IQ lot now make baseless policies/decisions for all ... over the time it's deteriorating even more

This organisation keeps you physically fit and mentally agile. Job security is plus with good salary and benefits.

Chamchagiri encouraged by higher management, promotion is not linked with individual work performance and declining manpower leading to very bad work life balance.

...zation which takes care of your every needs right from work life to family life. Salary is good compared to work but you must be prepared to move places without any choice.

Dislikes

The disparity between Officers and Men is huge and still it works on the principles of pre- independence British culture where the Officers draw a line and don't allow the Men to grow in their work life. Ironically this disparity travels to your families also which is very disturbing sometimes. Credit is always taken by Officers for any good work as if only they run the show.

I like about working at IAF to serve with people from different parts of country with different cultures.

Dislikes

There is huge difference between officer and men in regarding pay a allowance, in assured promotion, work culture, leave, ration etc needs to be look into.
