Department of Post is a central government organization, working here is a great experience.I am working here since March-2015 and now my job profile is a Programmer. I am working in CEPT (Center for Excellence in Postal Technology) where all the departmental softwares and websites development and maintenance is going on. The job security and working environment one of the best things in Department of Posts.

Dislikes

The growth in this Department is very slow. The package we are getting very less then the work we do.

Very Less Pay They Misguided by saying Government Job but the truth is you will treated as peon having 90%+ marks in board exam Higher officials are yelling at you to achieve the sales targets by not giving any incentives

No so much work lode ( is veri on BO to BO) Promotion opportunity If anybody like to stay in rural areas, so this is Beneficial for those

Salary is not so good Salary hike is not too much Not permanent And departmental Employee This is also a dislike is The candidate is shortlisted on merit based Not so good the working environment

1. Divisional office will give targets that make this job a bit hectic 2. We have to manage accommodation as well as branch office maintenance by our own expenses 3. We cannot afford a single day sudden leave

... is much secured as any other central govt job. Can have good work life balance. Moderate pay.

Dislikes

It provides very very late promotion channel through dept.exams. Is becoming more targets/marketing oriented these days. Yearly APAR is poor judged. Office Infrastructure is very poor. Network issues be resolved dead slow. Sub Offices problems do not cared by superiors most of the time.
