This is the good place for extensive Research and Development. Lot of scope for upgradation of skill. Self-learning skills are developed.

Professors are strict in terms of reaching deadlines, performance and deliverables.

Would be better if you work here for short time and then move to a better place. The management is not friendly to anyone. SO be careful

Overall dependent on the management. No location in a good city. Will be better if they moved the institute to Kolkata

The ambience of the campus is spell bound. You have 24 h to work there freely. You can work in midnight also. You will get healthy or any kind of food options present inside the campus or outside. Just chill and enjoy your work. Generally, there are many ways to relieve your work frustration there. You will get good hostel mates, good cultural association, sports options. The good library is there which is the Asia's largest library. You can continuously develop your knowledge and skills there.

Dislikes

You have to learn in the lab by yourself. Generally, professors do not participate in the laboratory work. However, few professors are exceptions they work with the researchers in the laboratory. The sample characterization system is a bit slow. It takes long time to get a slot for testing samples.
