...ly change the IG culture & its no longer a decent company like it used to be. 3.Bonus pool has been cut off, no salary increase. 4.Learning platforms like coursera has been shut off & job switch within the organization is a pain now. 5.It was a nice company but I would not recommend any of my friends/family to join it from now.

Hikes are less when your gross is already near to the max in the band Pay is comparatively low. 5 times lesser than parent company (UK). Some team has micromanagement Service backround leads and managers really spoil the culture. It happens mainly in QA area No tips or credits when team/individual successfully completed a high priority complex project. Once business is satisfied, they'll move to next thing. In the long run, people get demotivated and don't put effort. Pay is higher and roles are higher for new joiners with less experience in the domain and less development skills.

Company had a brilliant product team, and esp. great culture within product. Good support system. Scope for ownership and visibility. Great work life balance.

Since company CEO changed he started firing people left right center. He even had the audacity to share the book which influenced him to take these decisions. Previous CEO is being missed. Product function almost destroyed inside out. 85% of entire product function globally got laid off and the product roles which survived are floundering without much direction as of now. No appraisals, no bonuses. And new India leadership is the cherry on top of this stale cake. It's the worst! Townhalls are a joke, you get zero info. and just hear baseless claims which doesn't mean anything. Once a company to be revered and amazing work at sadly got destroyed in 6 months. Unbelievable. Previous India head was stellar, had insane impact. It's just sad.

Recommend NOT joining the company - Very Bad Politics and Blame Game company is at its cultural downfall in the bengaluru office, no spirit left , sad to see this happen unfortunate string of layoffs is shocking, but how the management handled it , especially the middle layer management's casual attitude towards it was just heartbreaking to watch. when you get affected like how people were in the layoffs, is when you will understand people looked upto IG at one point, management had other plans tech wise you will not learn much , as we don't have cutting edge stuff, application layer is pretty legacy, deployment practices will make you laugh if you've seen the indian startup and modern best practices manager will throw you under the bus to keep his seat if things go wrong there is no concept of blameless culture here , fun fact is on glassdoor , starting from 2015 to 2024 - you will find one review at least that says blame game is evident. tech debt is huge here, people have continued using it ,no innovative solutions put forth so far. while you cannot remove techdebt from code bases , for any software engineer it is very evident when they find out how the leadership is looking at it the technical best practices and mindset can date back to stone age. all companies have moved to agile, microservices while here people hesitate as if K8s, Containers released yesterday. this is mostly a managerial mindset problem of "we are an online trading provider first, later we'll see tech" , it's proven very very costly over time layoffs have begin since October 2023 , still hasn't stopped. things are very process driven here, don't expect creative liberty in overhauling tech debt. nobody takes that risk as its not worth their job conclusively over time, IG lost its values that it stood by , and the outcome is you no longer have confident employees who can think out of what is happening right now in the org and continue delivering value to you as they always think they are next, risk-taking innovation and thought leaders are gone, and finally TRUST - nobody trusts you anymore in the organization when you say something, because you have not been transparent enough
