Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Likes

Skilled founders and managers. Good to start a career if you have no other option but bad to stay for too long that is why their team keeps changing and they prefer more interns so to pay less and earn more. Also I like the way managers and founders are good at communication and convincing the concern that they want to.

Dislikes

Major dislikes are: -Top management is not trustworthy in long run. -Increaments are decent but they will extract every last bit to make it worth actually more work than it recieves credit in terms of words and money. -Friendships will cost you peace of mind here. -Smart but cunning co-founders. -Founding team lacks to see loyalty in people untill they have to prove it.
