There is no appreciation after certain job periods specifically even more than 15 years of experience you will not get the position as per peer group company.

...s there are less branches in rural regions, posting location can be near cities. Salary is best as compared to other public sector banks. Overall a great bank to work in.

Dislikes

Lot of pressure specially of selling insurance and mutual fund which make environment difficult to work. Lot of pressure of selling other products also. Late sitting quite evident in IDBI.Review meetings and daily reporting is very common here. If you can handle the pressure, then Idbi is good for you.

Young demography. Salary and perks.

Dislikes

You need to beg to avail your casual leave for one day. Frequent change of transfer policy. And very low probability of promotion. Transfer across the country against the request of the employee putting the personal life of employee and their family members in deep trouble. Irrational targets and pressure for third party products leaving no time to work for the core banking business. You have to forget life and do only work.

Likes

Salary is good at initial levels. Job Security. Work Pressure is manageable. When required one can avail leaves without much hassle. Other off the Salary Slip component is good.

Dislikes

Methodology for assessing the Variable Pay is area where improvement is required. Policy wise the bank is conservative but management has it own take on it. But this makes the bank less competitive.

Unfair promotions practice, Impotent Supervisors in Retail Banking, Egoistic people in Mid Management, God Father culture, No career growth, Non posting of required employees in branches etc.,
