Job security is good though someone is average in technical and having permanent employment also Policies are good but many people managers doesn't follow the IBM policies and practically, you can't do anything beyond people managers, no scope on HR for performance/work related concerns.

Dislikes

If you're happy with the package being offered and do not expect any salary hike at IBM during your employment then you can join IBM. It doesn't matter how smart you're at work!

The company adopts latest technologies and help employee learn and gain experience on new technologies. Also job security and work life balance especially for female employees is good

Compensation is below average than the market and even the growth is very slow.

... get promotions for their regional people only mostly: Kolkata & Pune in India During my 7 years, 6 months experience one, my Manager said he will nominate for the same Salary to Next Band / Promotion, I disagreed. Next time I have been nominated by another Manager to recognize for promotion but never processed and never get any Letter I waited for 3-4 months. Simply they said still HR is not approving and I Don't have any 7B projects to get that Promotion. These issues really hurt me and Resigned.

10+ years and 15+ years with IBM Senior Managers making Regional Umbrellas and Honey caring with Personal knowing and under umbrella Honey Employees for only Promotions, Long term Onsite, Hikes. Other Laterals are Dying and leaving the Talen from IBM. only Honey Makers are staying in the Umbrellas ...

Nothing, old employees staying in the company in their comfort zone 14-15 years with big ego.

Ibm policy No salary increase Nothing good No work life balance No good projects all are clean up activity No job roles peoples are out anywhere One of the worst workforce/resource management team i have seen in my exp. Even though you get client appreciation you won't get notified or awarded by ibm Worst project mangers and program mangers

...trictly enforced. No fixed hours to spend in office, that depends between teams. promotions and pay cycles depends on your importance and how good the team is doing in the organisation. managers are helpful and respectful towards employees in general. one have scope and opportunity to grow skills, contribute to open source, blogs, disclosures.

Dislikes

Internal movement between teams is almost always a fight. Often people are made to work in mixed bag of tasks/technologies, that might make one a jack of all trades and makes specialisation in one/some skillset go away.
