New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

...test technology. I love the fact that i am a part of team that markets reliable. Salary increment not getting on regular basis, company deduct the staff salary during the period on February 2016, without any notification to staff, and staff and family was very disturb on that time.

Dislikes

Growth is very slow, the work pressure is very high. sometimes, i have to work 20 hours straight in a day as i have to attend client call in the evening and sometimes late into the night. Managers do not value an individuals unique strengths which is why i have to take back my suggestion most of the times. Management Blindly trust to General Managers, last 2 years was very pain full for us.

Company is going under loss, anytime can be closed

Dislikes

company turned from line dept to freight forwarding with same staff- and commercial manager is hired from oman which has no knowledge of dubai market- so working with such company is waste of time- in 2017 to 2018 during my work with IAL - i have seen near b 50 terminations and resign in company
