New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. The work pressure is very high. Sometimes,i have to work 14-18 hours straight in day .manager do not value an individual's unique strength. Also, there is no job training for freshers.

...ach step of daily work. I could not travel abroad as didn't get any opportunity. Salary hikes are quite low but job satisfaction is upto mark as extra curricular activities and celebration of each moment will never make your day dull. Still waiting for new assignment and platform to explore my abilities to the next level.

Compensation is decent,but grow is slow.the work pressure is very high. sometime,i have to 10/12 hours straight in a day as i have attend the internal department calls in the evening & sometime late in to the night.HOD do not value an individuals unique strengths.which is why i have take back my suggestion most of the times.i do receive appreciation email form my internal dept /Clint,but they ( HOD) mostly unnoticed during my yearly appraisal.also there is no on job training.hence senior folks like me have to guide them step bu step ,which is a pain sometime
