All over it's a good place to work. Work life balance depends on department and jobs role as it varies. Be in good team can be really helpful here. Work culture is good, mostly for female employees.

Pay management is not that good as mostly underpaid. Not satisfied with package.

Favouritism is at its peak here. Favourites get good hike even though they are in such an upper salary range where no hike should have been given. And here the favouritism part plays a great role where percentage of hike is deducted from an employee who is in a lower salary range so that the one who is favourite and already in the highest salary range could be benefited.

Colleagues and peers are great until you put down your papers after that you will be able to see true colour of your LM

... explain what is extra hsbc is giving to it employees as compared to other MNC You will literally cry for promotion and salary hike But if you are not manager bodyguard then your life will be like a dog

Has very good HR policy to support employee from Managers wrath.

Except the salary processing team no one should know and individuals salary but managers has access to this information and I dont like this kind of set-up.

Good work environment with friendly , non judgemental people.salary structure & pay package is excellent as per industry standards, growth is slow &learning opportunities are decided by line managers who are not always impartial, leave policy is very good with support for different life events like exams, motherhood, demise of loved ones.Overall, a good place to work if growth is not the primary concern but job stability is.

Learning opportunities are decided by line managers even though the courses may be open to all.this is a huge deterrent to one's growth.I also see a lot of bias in recognizing performance or contribution.Facilities can be improved at the Kolkata site with better building condition,adding a gym & maybe putting more greenery inside the building instead of the plastic flowers I see around
