New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

Harmony among the operations team makes live easy in spite of the hectic shift culture.

Dislikes

Worst HR team among all the companies in this sector. No promotion policy, No increment policy, Every decision is unplanned. No shift allowance. DONOT FALL IN THE TRAP that this is a good company. Even if it is, it is for people near retirements who recieve MUCH MUCH MORE Salary than they deserve. DIPLOMACENTRIC APPROACH. NOT WRITING THIS BECAUSE OF SOME GRUDGE, EVERY WORD WRITTEN ABOVE IS TRUE. PLEASE NEVER JOIN THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT TO HAVE MENTAL PEACE IN YOUR LIFE.

...balance: office shift end at 6 pm mostly but need to stretch one time a week. Salary n benefits: only salary and no benefits Promotion n appraisal: no promotion and very low appraisal Job security: Terrible. Will notify you 1 month before to find another job as you are not working properly no warning to work properly just fired Skill development: nothing at all. U have to do just what u have told no taining for off role. Work satisfaction: worst experience Company culture: suffocating and worst in world treat off role like servants
