It is a sick PSU. New joinees here are bullied and harassed for one year till confirmation. No work culture and no fixed timings. Employees here are forced to stay beyond 8pm. Disgusting management.

HMT is the mother of Indian industry . you will find everywhere HMT machines . HMT had a very good training center which gives training to each person regarding industrial invirement,deciplin & technical on job .A very experienced team of engineers to guide you further is always available .We as HMT has contributed in green revolution in India by introducing a world class Tractor in colobration with Zetor . HMT become time keeper of the Nation by providing low cost watch to everyone.working with HMT for 35 years is a great experience in life.

Being PSU , lot of interference from govt . Decision making delays . people were not responding well in time etc.

The company was 1st Public Sector in India in automobile sector . Good opp. for young generations to learn the mechanical work. But govt. Closed the plant.

Controlled of management was poor and dependes on head office. M.D. of HMT Ltd south based. So he was not interested to run the plant in North.

Likes

Job security was good, I was liking international travel, good scope for learning. Work pressure was there but tolerable since target oriented. Management encouragement for good work. Though perks were old yet work culture was good.

Perks were old scale and pension scheme was not attractive

Its not working at HMT it is learning every day a new technology that helps understanding the machines to such extent that at one particular time u may think that man and machine are made for each other
