New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

They may provide you a little higher salary than the market standard but that’s the trap. Please don’t fall for it. You will regret and cry to your bone. I don’t like anything about Hitachi Vantara. It is a group of very poorly skilled people. Lot of internal politics. Tech work is of very very low quality. They boast of being a Hitachi group but all the low quality of projects run here being a IT and service based company. Work life balance is the worst. They force you to work 12 - 16 hours a day.

Work life balance is the worst. No professionalism. Directors, VPs and managers play huge politics, favouritism. Low quality of work. Managers are incompetent. Sometimes abuse and treat you like a slave.

There is no like for this company.

Dislikes

...a to digital service and after that they stop giving you appraisal or promotion. Sometime they don't credite salary also. Whoever joining join in your risk. Bad work culture. Bad package

...f the Sap projects there will be too much work here ..with no work life balance. Here some people pretend to work for rewards and recognition like donkey for just a good bonus....For Indian holidays leaves need to be taken bcz that's not client holidays....for project holidays..we need to work bcz that day won't be Hitachi holidays..client is God for HV. Overall company is a factory were robots work.
