This salary is very low because as an engineer, this salary is not preferable. it's difficult to manage with such a low salary, especially given the high cost of living, with a CTC of only 38.5k its hards to make ends meet.

You make good contacts working at HPCL. Also, the compensation structure is good at entry level.

Work life balance is non existent. You are expected to work all day long and so many activities are happening at the same time that you lose focus of your main job at times.

Groupism, Very high level of politics everywhere in work, delayed promotion, discrimination, mental torture, harassment. Hardworkers and meritous people are harassed. Those who are masters of politics they get promoted very fast and make life hell for you. Lots of unwritten rules and red tapesism. There is huge stay back after office hours. You are expected to work for 24 hrs even on festivals. Worse company to work for. All of my batchmates have resigned.
