I had a predominantly positive experience at Hilton Bangalore EGL. Compared to the other hotels that I have worked at, Hilton comparatively has better compensation and work culture. The executives and managers are friendly, understanding and ready to help. Though the slogging for long hours didn't reduce by much, I at least got the respect and appreciation that every hospitality professional expects from the management. I learned valuable lessons from my experience at Hilton and I will always smile when I think of my time there.

Like many hotels in Indian Hospitality, we are expected to work long hours and sometimes it gets stressful. But from my perspective, I don't think this is something new. In the Indian hospitality industry, staff seem to bend over backwards and even break their backs if it comes to it, all in the name of satisfying the guests. While I was doing break-shifts and attending the executive lounge at Hilton EGL, a guest once asked me (not jokingly) if I lived in the back area of the executive lounge. He wasn't trying to be pitiful of my situation, he was genuinely concerned, because to him, I seemed to be there all the time. When all is said and done, I think those long hours are kind of a rite of passage in Indian hospitality. If you've worked away your weekends, slogged for unimaginably long hours, and worked so hard that you just get home and fall flat on your face, you're doing it right. Unbeknownst to you, you would be gaining so much experience and knowledge that when you get to the next level, you know how to get the job done.

The company name is branded, but with old technology. I am sorry to say the fact ,I am a part of the team that markets reliable, before 3 years with low quality products. The housekeeper is from Filipino. But my colleagues come from various cultural background, and we work happily like one family.
