New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. Work pressure is always high. No transfer, you can work whole life in same place. Salary is less.

Job security - Excellent

Dislikes

If you have better option then make it second choice. No welfare/right. Humiliation of employees is much high.

Although I am working as intern but opportunities of growth and extending knowledge is massive. There is a lot to learn there and from each and every person and their cases. Place is huge full air conditioned and have canteens. Competition is cut throat there and if you meet right people you can achieve all the heights you can dream of.

Every thing is great there but the culture of junior senior is little intense, seniors look at juniors as their competition and barely give chance to stand and argue but as I mentioned if you encounter right people or right senior they can guide you best and help you reach the heights.
