Salary is on last day of the month

Dislikes

Annual Variable pay is beings paid very late. 11 am to 8 pm shift do not have allowance, but 11.30 to 9 getting very small amount of money. Management and HR are not supportive. Too much internal politics .

Dislikes

Company is very big some time internal processes are challenging to go by. Appraisal, Salary slip and any support functions - they are very confusing and not straight forward.

The plus with HCL is like if you are lucky and get a good client/project you can have a good work life balance.

  • Work-life balance - Excellent

Dislikes

Their are multiple cons in the company - 1. They will deduct money from your salary unnecessarily in the name of variable which they say is rating based. I personally never got less than 9/10 in quarterly ratings but still they used to deduct around 60% from EPB. 2. Zero hikes / No promotions. In my almost 2 year career no hikes happened. 3. It is top heavy company. There are 2-3 key people in every project who decides the fate of others. Full of egoistic people in management.

1. Working Style 2. No support or collaboration with different team 3. Zero support from boss 4. Poor Appraisal 5. Once you are on bench(no project), they will treat badly 6. Zero HR support. Even HR don't know about company policy.

...Infrastructure, Good Stable Company, good for the people who likes Job security! Salary is always on time, very good medical facilities and others employees' benefits. Overall, it is very nice company for sure!

Salary is on time but other incentives, your promotion, your bonus, your increments etc are in Arrears, You will get it for sure but always in arrears, HR is not at all effective. Just like your Job which is stable, your salary will be stable as well, please do not expect any other thing except Stability. Company culture in terms of HR is not at all good, no major governance towards how management is calibrating an employee, how promotions are happening? That is the only reason I left HCLTech, otherwise, in other domains, might be the HR as people doing good things. HCLTech is a beautiful organization but some wrong people who are in that position to spoil the overall experience and culture, My advice is to hire good mature people in leadership positions and especially in HR domain. Please save this beautiful company and I'm the sure the top management are doing lots of things to streamlines the process down there but really need to put strong governance on middle management, specially in HR domain
