HCL medical policy is the worst policy. Also their internal policies are not employee friendly.
Believe me, this is one of the worst medical insurance policy given by HCL to its innocent employees. The TPA is vidal. One of the deadliest TPA. Almost all the important rules they will hide, it will be reflected at the time of claim processing. Almost every employee in HCL is struggling to settle their claims. If the amount is more than 50000 then just forget about it. Even if you mail to higher authorities of HCL, vidal will not care about it. I am just fed up 😞 to following up them. For a middle class family, 30000 is a significant amount. Also HCL policies are not good. It is changeable. This company is not employee friendly. If you have multiple offers then mark it as your last option to accept. Even if you join there then take a good external medical policy.

Only liked one thing that HCL provided voucher for aws certification.

...ed in offer letter also). Now this component has been brought under performance. Managers gives random rating so that employee gets less variable pay almost 30% 40%. If a manager gives good rating, the rating is decreased by HR on purpose (Confirmed by HR itself ) so that employees would be payed as much as less variable pay. There are times, when manager forgets to give you rating and in that case default rating will be 0 and employee would be payed 0% monthly variable and annual variable. Regarding certification Voucher - Need to follow up for many months to get the voucher. Weekend Work : In case if you have worked on weekend, employee does not get comp off.

If u work 20 years also u won't get hike. Not following basic standards with respect to salary for existing employees. No recognition for employees who are staying for long term.

...erwise will sit on old technologies. Prove yourself garranty managers will help. Bonus don't ask me I left in 1 year due to personal.overall happy working in hcl odc in Bangalore .got 3 times star emp awards.

Likes

Data science team is good to work with and the opportunities are also growing. Timings are flexible and management is also friendly. Women can easily balance work life with convenient timings and work from home option.

Dislikes

compensation and benefits are not satisfactory. HCL offers no gifts while joining or on festivals and celebrations. Not even a pen or book. Most of other companies are atleast giving small complimentary gifts.

Good company if you want flexible time, work, and if you ok with less percentage of hike. Work life is good but you will be board of work sometime. Opportunity is always open but not exiting. Not good not bad condition
