Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

The company has always created an environment where me as employee has never felt the organisation never wants me. They have always been helpful with any matters you come up to them, discuss it and help you out to find ways to get it solved and overcome your natural fears.

Dislikes

It is like a family here but sometimes a backlog is been dragged and the pressure sometimes gets on other employees
