I want to share the story of Pappu (name changed) at Shoptimize, now known as Graas. Pappu joined Shoptimize at its inception it is said that we don't know. It turns out that Pappu is a relative of a key management person at Shoptimize now Graas. He worked in various departments at various positions but was never able to settle anywhere in fact he is always protected even though he lacks the courage ability and skills to complete his work. Despite this, he was constantly moved to different roles. To protect, him the management and senior staff pressured me to target other employees instead. As a result when our HR department including me targeted other employees for no reason. But I had to do what the management used to tell me. Meanwhile, we couldn't find the talent inside the company and also could not find the right candidate to help Pappu in his new leading role of customer solutions. Pappu was now made leader of customer solutions a role that required hard work and skill which he didn't possess. I was new in the HR team at that time and an innocent fresher, and I was unfamiliar with how things worked, but I was told to remove a high-performing person and a talented person from another team to make room for Pappu. The person who was, moved to another team excelled while beloved Pappu failed miserably. His teammates eventually left due to incompetence. This situation becomes critical, causing work and projects to stall. Despite his laziness and lack of effort, Pappu was well-protected by key members of management. I only realized the full extent of their unfair game and injustice toward others much later and I sincerely apologize to all the candidates and good people who had to leave and work extra hard because of Pappu. Shoptimize was eventually sold to Graas for 300 crores, and somehow Pappu was made out to be hero due to his so-called past achievements, which I know now is totally fake. This favoritism was not only unethical but also illegal considering Pappus's big failure. Pappu still works with Graas but he will never earn respect and love from people. I also left the company a couple of days back and I am very happy, as my new managers encouraged me to be a good person first and then a good professional. I should have taken a stand against the injustice and would have encouraged the management to remove Pappu. I have learned a new lesson I decided to write this due to the encouragement of my new employers and I thank them from the bottom of my heart because now I can compensate a little by writing this on a sacred platform like an ambition box without sugarcoating anything. GRRAS work on quality, not on quantity thats why they deliver better candidates to IT industries, which really a positive and better opportunities for trainers and staff.
