Terrible salary structure. The Company has not revised its salary structure since decade. Power has concentrated in a few hands only and the management & higher authority are not professional at all. HR policies are terrible, no development for the employees. Even the accommodation facility provided by the company is in poor condition. Graphite India is not looking after its only steel plant they have. The group is reluctant for any kind of development.

As no of leaves are more and you can enjoy leaves at any time of the year.No pressure from top management in daily activities.relationship among employees are good.

Salary hike for officers are very poor.Generally promotions come after five years if your performance is good.

Salary structure traces back to British era. Poor accommodation facilities. Company infrastructure is decaying day by day and the higher management is just watching with folding hand. Graphite India is destroying its resource.

Enginner giving more opportunities for development & responsibility

Engineer had no values. Very less salary to bottom level enginners. Worker had more payscale than enginner. No job security and promotion standard

.... After 11 year I'm getting 43K in hand as a Engineer. While a Worker after 2.5 Hr he spend in plant getting a salary of 2.5L per Month. Absulouty great. For Worker Over Time and abusing shift supervisor is a common culture here in GIL Durgapur. They Charge officer ₹80.00for club charges but last 4year no club party was there. Some of Middle mannagment staff and HOD are fully aligned with worker and they never gona ask or punish to workman for there fault he gona ask shift supervisor why he didn't do that work. It is a common practice in GIL Durgapur workmen are out of the plant and Shift supervisor operating a crane for emergency requimet. Durgapur is main Plant of GIL group and it's situation is like this. I don't know about other plant. GIL is loosing it's legacy what GIL build Before 2005. Afraid of loosing regular salary due to what we saw in GIL Durgapur.

Everything but I don't have and option to change my job. Due to working in Production department GIL never gave me change to develop. No Training or Employee development program. 2 year ago we only got a Emotion Management training and nothing related to job or devolopmet.
