New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

The employees work here are decent but the management and employer is pathetic. I regret joining this company coming all the way from Kolkata to Mumbai for this job and they gave me really rough time and left me with no other option but quit. They don't have any job security.

Dislikes

They are really unprofessional and don't really care about their employees. In the name of practice they asked me to come on weekends including Sunday when I started doing then they asked me to come in early at 8am and leave at 8pm doesn't matter if I have work in hand or not. When I started doing that they came up with a new excuse that my attitude is the problem and basically I don't fit in because I am not grateful to them that they hired me. All in all terrible experience would recommend others not to join this company.
