New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

I joined Geetanjali Studio, where I was supposed to work as a Make-up artist. For that, i had to get up at 7 AM and have to reach the studio by 10 AM and for that i had to travel for more than 1 hour for each way. It was an eleven hour job from 10am to 9pm. So basically, it took more than half a day of my day. During that duration, i even managed their sales and inventory department and it was the main reason to switch my job because sales were not my cup of tea. I think that period was my biggest challenge that i faced till now and i think i have done a pretty job in it.

Dislikes

Work life balance I would say..During that job, it was quite difficult to manage my personal and professional life but despite the challenges i faced during that job, i was able to manage to do that job and used to be 'apple of everyone's eye'.
