GE is a great company. Excellent teammates, diversity & inclusion is at all levels. Employee friendly policies. Good compensation & benefits. No politics & very encouraging people leaders.

Dislikes

Work life balance is tricky & depends on the team you are in. Not much of career growth. Very less onsite travel opportunities.

Engineers are pretty good, but the work culture which is driven from organisation is really terrible. It's non other than others average product or service companies. GE is great name but it's not the case in India. Teammates are good, most of them are from India's reputed colleges. GE aviation does not provide any formal training, training will go in parallel with jobs. Yours job is not secure at all, you may be fired any time. You will do the same job after 15 years if somehow you survived since you was doing at the time of joining, only 1% employees will get promotion. Salary is competitive as for others mechanical MNCs, this is good where GE stands satisfactory. They will not allow traveling or on-site jobs as it incur much cost to company. Forget about work life balance, when pressure come from US, they will force you to work on any day. Ultimatelywith my 5 years of experience at GE Aviation, I realize that it's all US driven culture where they want to extract work with cheap HR.

...usiness is good regarding work culture and WL balance, but aviation is pathetic. Salary hike is average 8% per year. Work wise it's again completely business driven, you have limited choices and choose among them, forget about yours personal interest. GE aviation is not employees focused at all now. Top management has become shoes licker of theirs bosses seated at US. So overall don't expect any different due to brand name, it's same or worst than others MNC companies.

...a problem differenly aws cloud exposure. lot technical trainings like GIDS, AWS. Transparency from leadership Flexibility to WFH beautiful green JFWTC campus yoy 10% hike and bonus as promised.

Technical competency. in a team 10% to 20% ge staff rest vendor-partner. top-management lacks technical leadership. lot of un necessary processes and tools. overwhelming management hierarchy, need to improvise on securing good software engineers.

Overall experience is good with 3 years and here I learnt may things in my role with my boss and leadership team. It's really helping in my bright future

if you have ego and your core values they don't need you will be thrown out in second no job security no support from hr
