The only good thing is a brand name on your resume which will help you land your next interview easily. Work-life balance was also good but it was later made terrible by one incompetent leader who would expect you to start work in IST but end your day in US time, so work till 9PM.

...their own data, and said everything looks good and that I was in the right band. But they did not that I had already seen the salary of my manager, who was earning 4x than what I was (12lpa vs 50lpa), so I was obviously not happy and decided that day to leave. The HR team at Gartner India is a joke at best and highly incompetent, nothing more! 4.) Unfortunately, I had to deal with two pathetic, dimwitted, and useless managers (Tanu Chawla and Rohit Adlakha) while my time there and both used the probation period and success plan as a tool of showing me that what happens when you don't act like a "Yes Man" to such managers, and there are many such people in the India team because what is happening is that they are simply hiring people who have no leadership or managerial experience, but here they get the responsibility of leading large teams, and that is where they fail terribly. For me, my Managers had no sense of empathy, had no coaching experience, no intellectual intelligence or common sense, yet I had to take feedback from them everyday, which was very hard as I knew that they had lesser knowledge & skills than me. Because of this, I received no promotion for 4 years while the average time for promotion is 2 years in Gartner because they used their designation to stop my progress. 5.) Compensation wise, people from IIT/IIM with 2 yrs of work-ex were making more than people like me who had 10+ years work-ex, and impact wise, we were contributing more to company growth than these people who just joined, but no one in Gartner wants to do something about it. There is a picture on Fishbowl that shows differences in compensation. Personal experience with Managers: Tanu Chawla is high-headed and extremely egoistic, so if you are not in her good books from the beginning, she will make sure to make you life hell in the office; shouts in meetings, drinks during office hours, influences youngsters in the team by taking them out to expensive pubs, and only takes care of people who act as "Yes Man" to her in the company . Is extremely dumb, has no knowledge of the work, and almost ended loosing her job at Gartner (went from manager of 10+ folks to an IC role). Rohit Adlakha took every wrong decision one could take as a leader - promoted the wrong people who were not ready, stopped the promotion of deserving people, and setup people for failure by building a culture of jealousy, hatred, and distrust amongst the team members. Nobody wanted to work with him and people were on cloud nine when he went to the US. Good Riddance! Overall, Gartner is a great company overall with a monopoly business, but still it was the worst experience of my professional life due to poor and incompetent people in India leadership team. Would join this company again, but never in India or under an Indian manager/leader.

...everyone is very approachable. Flexibility of working from home unless required. Timely salary credit, (before time, when credit date is a bank holiday). Subsidized cab services (negligible cost), and free lunch at office. Last and definitely not the least, is the work life balance, no over-work after work hours, no hassle in taking leaves, be it casual, sick or paid. The organization works like a well-oiled machine with everyone aware of their roles and tasks and projects are optimised, thus there is no need to overwork the employees.

Job security and work life balance(due to work from home). It's good if you want to do mundane work 5 days a week and don't want to bother yourself for rest 2 days

Pay is below standard. Lots of politics in service operations. You can join if you want to pursue a side hustle but not recommended for growth and good compensation.

Gartner is the one of the best pay masters with uncapped incentives. If you are an overachiever the quantum of money you can get is huge. The office space is very good, you get free meals with other perks. Workwise you get to interact with top notch professionals within and outside Gartner.

Too much office politics. Hazy sales policies, cut throat competition. In the MSE segment, the sales managers will do things to pull you down, and they love gossiping about your personal and professional aspects.
