...self. It is the best for calibration and testing. Work environment is very nice. But the salary is not enough.

I was a Graduate Engineering Apprentice, not an employee (writing in that perspective). There is a scope of learning there. There are different laboratories each with their own equipment, staffs, customers, exposure and work style etc. So, it all depend which lab we will be attached to. We get good exposure. Can have interaction with officials from different companies who come to here for their calibration and testing and many senior and expert Engineers at FCRI. About Job security, work life balance etc I cannot commend. So the above rating by me is not very authentic. Also I had my training only for 1 yr two months. Heard that this organization is the only one of its kind in south east Asia and have authenticity in flow calibration and is highly respectful in that sense. Well experienced engineers heads each lab. The main thing is that, it is a respected organization for the Flow related companies out there. Also it do have many Internationally Accepted Calibration laboratories. Even I , an apprentice, at FCRI is treated respectfully by Customers (other company officials). sometimes like a permanent employee there. And also we could get opportunity to go for site Calibration. We could conduct lab demonstration classes for college students. Again it all depend on which lab you are. In short it is a well reputed organization in the respective field. Please consider this is not a 100% of the company

As a Graduate Engineering Apprentice, we get the opportunity to do the hands on work. It all depends on us to learn from there. Basically we are the part of work there it is not like we will be getting training classes. There is expertise there, so it is up to us to get learned from them. And also again it depends on which lab you are. In most of the labs it will be routine work doing the same calibration or testing. The positive thing is that we can get to see many flow measuring devices, and other devices from different companies across India and sometimes overseas. I request all to go through their website thoroughly. The thing is that we might be doing some routine works (sometimes we could get bored or tired depending on each individual) and it is the learning mind within us which should tell us yes, there is something to lean from each thing we do there as we are working along experts in the field. In some labs the work might be more of a type of Instrumentation Engg. so, Mechanical engineers might get frustrated- also depends on individual. But a positive thing is that when we look, the science, theory behind the process of flow calibration, testing etc. is related to Mechanical Engineering. But in outside we could feel Instrumentation related. One thing is that, this is a Well respected organization in the corresponding field. Don't think it as too bad or same way, too good. Please consider that this is not a 100% of the company
