I dislike my salary. Now, salary isn’t the most important thing for me. But when you have a family, and bills to pay. I want to assure you that I discussed the issue with my manager. But they said that in the current state of economy they could not offer me anything better. So here I am, interviewing for the job with you, because your salary offer is much better.

If your manager don't like you, you can be trapped. Pseudo HR policy. No one will hear you, though they have a campaign running named as "we listen" 😝. They say you will get a chance to get relocated, but when you apply for that they will not support.
