Hi All, During a job opportunity, when the recruiter asked for my expected CTC, I mentioned 12 LPA, as my previous job's fixed salary was 7.8 LPA. Now, I’ve been shortlisted for the Product Designer role and have learned from some sources that their maximum budget is 14 LPA. How should I approach the negotiation? Would it be reasonable to ask for 14 LPA, considering I initially stated my expectation as 12 LPA? The job is based in Gurgaon, and I have 4.5 years of experience. Looking forward to your advice!

Biggest pros here is they will hear you. They emphasize with you. Salary is good. Flat structure, everyone is approachable. In short you will not regret joining here. Great talent here.

Though I am mentioning some points here, but everyone has there some shortcomings, right? 1. Work life balance is somewhat messed up, its not about some weekends. Team has been small so you need to stretch most of your weekends and weekdays. 2. tech stack is latest, but since its a startup you can't complain much on topic such as kafka, redis or other stuff is not used. as for a business its not always fruitful. But as an individual its my choice to work on it. I just want to say that despite these points its an amazing place to be as they understand you. Its growing, rather sailing.

Culture, toxic management of India team. Lack of experienced senior execs in the sales & management team of APAC. No programs and initiatives for training and upskilling. Senior execs blaming the people at the bottom of the food chain for their failures to save their jobs. Low salaries.
