New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

There are lots of people with bad attitude because of their position. I just want to say that the people working at minimum wage in Canada make more money than the GM in this company. Anyways, one of the reason for me not choosing a career with this company was people's attitude, extremely bad people and no work life balance.

Dislikes

I believe the management needs proper education on how to talk to people and be a team rather than blaming and showing OFF that they are a hudge dignitary. Just be normal. There was this QC manager there when I was working there extremely bad attitude! I swear I would rather kill myself then work along side a person like that. However, people in Canada working on minimum wage make more money than him in a week that would take him 5 months to acquire. Hence, now I believe there is a god, and he does sink the corrupt and arrogant.

Dislikes

Bad attitude by some senior management people. Snitching. Lack of vision. Long hours and expectations to stay and work even longer due to lack of planning on senior management side.
