Pay is low compared to other financial services companies. Management is not good and plays politics. Quality of work that we get won't be that great.

-> Work life balance is awesome -> Job security is really awesome when it comes to the type of industry we're working in where employees getting fired is everyday affair. -> Decent oncall allowance for support -> Office cabs will pick you up from literally anywhere in Bangalore -> Manager and PO wont sit on your head all the time to get the work done unless its taking really really long, you take your time to get it done. -> Last December we got extra 1.5 lac bonus other than regular perfomance bonus. -> 3 times meal and evening snacks while hybrid model is going on.

...ems i face as everyone face them in literally all companies from time to time. The only general improvement Fidelity needs is that salary may need a serious revision to match the industry standards. Rest all is good, you can literally retire working here!!!

It's more or less like a government job. You'll never lose your job and get a yearly hike of 7%-10%

Dislikes

...personal phone and WhatsApp to get work done. 7. Bad tools to support employees. If you take a look at their salary portal you'll feel like a 9th grade kid developed it. If you join new, you'll have to spend an upward of 2-3 months just to get access. Each tool has a different access and no one including the manager seems to know how to get access. 8. Poor HR support. Basically the HR team is very small so any queries by mail takes time and they are often not helpful. 9. Extremely unstable systems. The infrastructure is being migrated to cloud actively but they are not being migrated well. So you'll end up being consumed by 100's of tickets and issues everyday. 10. Too much power to manager. They manage everything. I literally mean EVERYTHING. From your payslips, access requests, leave approvals, everything goes through your manager. And often they disclose it to others when they gossip. Horrible 11. Promotions and ratings are pre-decided. No matter how much you work. No matter how much you contribute, only the manager's chelas/pets will get good hikes and timely promotions 12. There's so sense of time. People will call/ping you at anytime of the day. They think you'll be available ALL the time. 13. No clearly defined policies. You won't get any clear info from HR, everything has to be clarified by the manager. 14. No goodies/benefits during festivals. Every other company provides this except fidelity. 15. Too much useless push for learning. They push a lot for learning but in reality you'll never even have time to scratch your head let alone learn. They don't provide anything to implement either. 16. Overtime benefits are extremely poor. 1pm-10pm shift you'll get Rs. 350 everyday. On-call support Saturday and Sunday you have to support 12 hours each day and they give Rs. 750 only (for both days!!). Even BPO's pay better than this. 17. Flat organisational hierarchy. Basically ASE,SE,Lead, Principal all do the same work and everyone report to a senior manager. So it's very difficult to know what is expected from your role. During one-on-ones they'll give you all kind of stupid Gyan but nothing constructive. 18. Once you join, they'll immediately add you to pillars like automation, talent, efficiency, etc where you'll have to contribute accordingly. It's a headache because along with your actual work this will kill you with weekly meetings and rigourous follow-ups which is stupid. 19. To sum it up, if you value work-life balance, if you want to be in peace and learn efficiently and be technically good, DO NOT JOIN FMR INDIA
