Its an MNC so people tend to follow work ethics

Dislikes

Low pay at entry level; They expect you to work a lot but would pay you pennies. Difficulty in changing role; You need to connect and be in people's goodwill to get a role of your liking. Lack of projects; 2 people do the work, and 4 get to take the credit. There is a shortage of projects, so they would expect you to support your stakeholders with whatever they need.

Company has no offering in tech space and have preference to transition all tech work to Service based Companies. I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
