New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

My 1st problems salary problems. I was joined this company's my seniors officers he tel him my joining package 16000/- per month. Company salary dropped in my bank account around 9600/- only. I was not accept this salary. I give sales growth in the company.

It is a age old company having quality products and has good brand image in the market.

Dislikes

We don't learn new things from this company. The compensation is low and growth is slow. The work pressure is very high. Managers don't value the employees suggestions. The Managers use subordinates & the facilities given for there personal use. Ex:- Company provides vehicle for sales work & the higher manager uses it for there personal in the name of subordinates.

Excellent journey felt during the tenure in Excel. Lots of things I have learnt and got opportunities to visit abroad also for technical work. But Excel is now merged with Sumitomo Chemical India Limited on 01.09.2019.

The teammates are good and helpful, job is secured if u achieve your targets well and growth is good for quick learners along with good salary/appraisals.The work life balance you have to make depending upon the situations. Travel is completely dependent on your project and client's location.

Dislikes

The work pressure is quite high, prevailing to climatic situations. Timings for working increases sometimes to 12 hours or so straight in a day. On-the job training for freshers is not that well, due to which freshers like me has to struggle a lot in the initial days.
