Syntel is a good company for fresher's as it will help you to strengthen your ability in many perspective. It can give you the work environment on which u will gain confidence by attending client calls, doing analysis, lead work etc. For professional I must suggest if you will get any onsite opportunity from syntel then u can stay otherwise you will not get good hike from the company

No other benefits , compensation , and hike is bad . If you will get a good project then you will have general shift otherwise you have to stretch your timings , low work life balance. Team capacity is less due to which you need to stretch many times. No work from home in most of the projects

A good work environment for freshers to work in. Work culture is good as well for freshers. Syntel is working for big clients from US and UK and having very good outsourcing rate.

Dislikes

...ere was a huge lay-off in year 2017 and this can be connected to job insecurity. Okay salary aappraisal. As a fresher I was allocated a new project and it disturbed whole work life balance but eventually it teaches you important lessons about IT industry and about the project.

Starting my career with Syntel was good. I've learned lot of things related to Skill Development. Training sessions are average.

Compensation & Benefits in Syntel is very poor. If you want your growth in Syntel than you must be very good in Politics. There is no job security. Work Environment is average over here at Syntel.

I loved the work environment in Syntel. My teammates, Managers bonding with me was very healthy, supportive and encouraging. Trainings helped me a lot in my career growth. Quarterly parties and friday games helped us to remain fresh and stress free. Job security was also good. I am willing to join Syntel again...

Learning wise its good, as a fresher if you join, u will be able to learn new things which is an add on advantage,but again it depends on the type of project you are in.

Like every other company, they also have their own politics and all.. And other thing is salary hike / appraisal is poor. One feels demotivated sometime for working hard for such low pay.
